Withdrawal Templates
Below are templates to help you withdraw from either your homeschooling registration in your district or from your child’s public/private school. To use these letters, copy/paste the text that matches your situation to a blank document, change all of the information in parentheses ( ) to your family’s information, and submit to the proper place, indicated in bold.
Withdrawing From Homeschooling Program:
You will submit this letter to the Homeschool Liaison or Superintendent’s Office of your Local District (wherever you’ve previously sent documentation)

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to inform you that my child(ren), (Child(ren)'s Names(s)), will not be continuing as homeschoolers in the {School District's Name} for the 2024-2025 school year.
(He/she/they) have instead transferred to a private school program. Please remove (his/her/their) names from your roster effective immediately.
I also hereby give my permission for any records to be transferred to their new school at the request of their administration.

Withdrawing From Public/Private School:
You will submit this letter to the School Secretary or Records Office at your child’s school

Dear (Official’s Name):
I am writing to inform you that my child(ren), (Child(ren)'s Names(s)), will not be continuing at {School Name} for the 2024-2025 school year. (He/she/they) have instead transferred to a private school program. Please remove (his/her/their) names from your roster.
I also hereby give my permission for any records to be transferred to their new school at the request of their administration.
